I got my PR confirmation using CEC and landed canada before the expiry date. I just went only for landing procedure since my marriage is in september month. I'm planning to go to canada with my wife by apply visitor visa to her. Currently I'm working in indian company. I want to go to canada with my wife after the marraige and planning to search job there.

I'm having sufficient fund in canada bank account.

Can anyone please tell whether can i go for apply visitor visa for my wife and once she get that visitor whether myself and my wife can travel together?

Please provide your suggestion for my situation.

Regards,

after marriage you cna submit all the documents to candian conulate in india and you will get visa as you have PR. only thing they may objuct that you dont have job. so before applying make sure you have job. also you have pr and aplly your wife pr and come here and search for job. by the time you get the job she will get her PR also. it takes around 6 months on spousel catogory.!!! good luck.

1. The OP has to be resident in Canada (as he is a PR) before he can submit the sponsorship and the complete application to Mississauga.
2. It is extremely unlikely that his spouse will get a TRV to visit Canada, as it is his/her intention to remain permanently.

Hi,

Did you applied PR for your wife as well? Did her file also transferred to USbuffalo office?

Hi PMM, need your expertise here. I am eligible for PR in Jan'12 and planning to apply during the same time. But my wedding is planned for Apr'12 and after that I would have to process a visitor visa for my wife to land in Canada around Jun'12. Currently I am on a work permit which will expire in Dec'12.

Will my PR application obstruct my wife's dependant VISA processing based on the timelines I gave above? please advise.

1. Once you are married, you have to amend your application and your spouse has to complete her application with the documents required.
2. It won't effect your PR application, but whether your spouse/fiancee gets a TRV is another matter.

I am not worried about amending the application once I am married. I am more worried about my wife's TRV if I file a PR application in Jan'12. can you please try to throw more light on this.

untill u include your wife on your PR application she dont need to mention about PR application. if u apply jan 12, and married in april and you apply TRV for your wife right away ( april or may )100% it would not affect the TRV process, its depends on only her ties to home country.note the new application form asking details of other canadian visa applied only for applicant. not her family member. so obviously she cant mention also. cheers

Thanks for the reply Manitha. can you help me with one more info please. What forms do I need to fill for the spouse in case I apply separately?

friends,Can my spouse file a PR application soon after coming to Canada on a temporary visitor visa, me being the principal applicant?

if you are qualified enough to apply then big yes for both of you................!!!!!!!!!!!

yes jsa, I am qualified enough to apply under CEC category. Currently my fiance is in India and we are planning to tie the know in April'12 and I willl bring her to Canada on a temp visitor vistor (aka dependent visa). So just wanted to know if we file for PR together in May or June'12.
Please advise.

yes, you can. but do one thing..... before coming to here tell her to apply for her PCC in india in april first week. so it will be very easy for her and you apply for your PCC in february......................!!!

for her birth certificats also

for your birth certificate and PCC you have to apply through vancouver indian consulate as you are allready here.......!!

But I can get the PCC from the Indian high commission in Toronto itself and can use my secondary school certificate as my date of birth certificate. Why do I need to go to vancouver for this?
