Hi everyone,
I need some help in regards to a refusal letter received today for my wife's Open Work Permit application. I have been working for over a year and submitted my son's visitor record, my spouse's Open Work Permit and my work permit accordingly. My son's visitor record was approved, my application is still pending and my wife's application has been refused, as per the refusal letter due to the following reason:
In your case, you have not paid the applicable restoration fees; therefore you are not eligible to have your temporary resident status restored.
And guess what? We did pay all the corresponding fees including the Restoration ones, and now I will be reaching out to the CIC call Centre tomorrow to see what can be done. In the meantime, I will appreciate any suggestion on how I can proceed by having them correcting their error and what my next steps should be. Thanks a lot in advance!!
