It doesn't take much to call a spade a spade. Canadian immigration should do what is in the best of Canada. No arguments in that! Taking somebody's money and not processing their applications for years and then coming back to say they don't qualify under the new rules is plain wrong.

Some people are saying "it hasn't happened yet and why discuss this". It has already happened for Pre-2008 applications and it is going in that direction for MI-1..

you better discuss when it will be implemented..not now..because no implementation yet so there is no accuser here...

pre-2008 have the right to discuss because they got done already..

So what you are saying is that the new changes are not going to happen..The minister is just an idiot and don't pay attention to him?

please first of all calm your nerves down...being angry is not going to help you in any way...

this is just proposal by minister and whole parliament is going to discuss that. it doesn't mean they definitely will implement these changes..check post of navneet too on last page

All,

Just relax. All changes aren't in place yet. Why to blame minister now? This resolution still need to be passed in parliament and all people in the parliament don't think the way like Jason thought. All honourable members of parliament knew the agony of applicants pre June era and they must have soft corner for all those applicants. There will be a way around to this problem. Just think positive.

In fact we can come up with suggestions on how to reduce the backlog efficiently as this is the only concern of minister Jason. If we can provide a valid suggestion that can reduce huge backlog then we can be assured that Jason will change his decision. Try to put yourself in other's shoes. If you have hundred of thousands of applications lying then what would you do? Just think of solution rather criticizing someone. We would have enough time to criticize later.

Please don't bother. I am discussing on the topic this thread is created for ..
If you don't want to discuss on that, I am sure you have other things to do.

So far Minister Kenny was very efficient, reasonable and whatever proposal he had were all approved.

Agreed....+1

A good analysis and reply to all who have been asking you so many questions. But I didn't get one thing and that is what I have quoted below. How is post june applicants going to face the same?

Yes, applicants in post 26th June era are now facing the probability of being axed at any time, unfortunately. Applicants who are not "IN PROCESS" status are vulnerable, if the Proposal is passed at the Parliament.

Yes, Kenny has taken correct action to deal backlog---------Delete the backlog

He can deal with poverty also easily by----------------------Killing the poor

Applications have lock dates and must be dealt with according to that rules on that dates, they are not doing charity, all processing charges are paid in advance by the applicants.

These suggestions are just Brainstorming, :) ;)
Brainstorming is a popular tool that helps you generate creative solutions to a problem. This is the most commonly used tool by developed countries to solve a problem. :) Mr Kenny is using this tool successfully , a number of stakeholders will appear and give reasonable solutions before implementations.

Thanks Mitali for answering possible solution. Hope nobody is effected.

Yes, applicants who have the Med request or have cleared it are probably going to be safe.
