Hello there, I activated my PR confirmation portal on October 26th and confirmed my status on the same day. However, I have not yet received my eCOPR since then. With two planned trips home in January and February, I'm starting to feel anxious. Consequently, I consulted with a lawyer for assistance or instructions to expedite the process. According to the lawyer, having a visitor visa allows entry into Canada. Despite this information, I'm a little nervous about trying it out. Does anyone know if this information is valid? What should I communicate to the border officers? Additionally, is there any information on the duration of the PR process?

I fail to understand how you could enter Canada on a visitor visa if you are a PR? I would assume your visitor visa cancels as soon as you become a PR.

My lawyer told me to apply for re-entry once I leave Canada while waiting for my ecopr.

Hi folks, my lawyer is apparently wrong; I've dug more and found out that all my visas and work permits got canceled once I became a permanent resident. The only way to re-enter Canada with your eCOPR is with your PRTD or going through the United States with a non-commercial vehicle. This is so frustrating for me. i hope i can finish this process soon, its becoming eternal..

Have you received the email asking you to confirm that you are in Canada?
