Hi everyone,

I just got my landing interview date at the IRCC office in Vancouver BC. I've been asked to get all immigration documents issued to me by IRCC for the Interview along with passport and COPR.

Unfortunately, when I returned from a trip abroad earlier this year, the CBSA officer at the airport discarded my expired study permits:( is this going to be a problem at the interview? I do have my current work permit so I can definitely show that.

Any help is much appreciated!:)

Congrats ------since your study permit was expired its not a issue... at this point you have a valid work visa that's all they need to provide your current immigration status... can you provide me with your time line ?

are you inland or outland ? Why did you have to send your passport to Ottawa ? normally you should get a landing interview directly after DM

I'm inland, CEC. I was asked for my passport to be sent to Ottawa. Maybe it's because I'm not from a visa exempt country?!

HELP! If anyone here can help at least! So one of the questions or I guess 2 of the questions have me in a slight panic.

I received an email letting me know that the Vancouver office will contact me to schedule an appointment, on Aug 16. It is September 26th today and still waiting.

So here is where I need urgent help. At the time of filing my application, I didn’t know I was pregnant. I now have a child born in Canada. By law, the baby is considered a dependent? So I should answer yes ?

Also, the father of the child have been in a relationship for over a year, but not common law, as we only moved in to live together on July 15th (2 months now) and we are unmarried, therefore by law, I am single? Or do I need to declare this relationship?

A wait of 5+ weeks isn't all that uncommon, but you may want to ensure it didn't go to a different email address (if you used another one in your application in the past).

As for the other question - you should create a separate topic for this on the forum. Usually you would either add your child to your PR application or complete the PR process and go on to sponsor your child. But in this situation, he/she is Canadian by birth, so I'm unsure what the right thing is to do.

Did you get your interview date yet? We got email on July 16 stating Vancouver office will contact us, and we are still waiting. Starting to worry they may have missed us somehow.

Hi,

I have received a letter from CIC stating that my final determination for permanent residence interview has been scheduled. It also says DECISON MADE on ecas.

Questions:
1. Is this the landing interview? Or a relationship interview since I am being sponsored by my common law partner?
2. What is the chance of refusal at this point?

Thank you so much!
