Recently , my friend receive his new work permit .

He applied for new work permit in October 2021.

It takes him 142 days to get it

I applied for a new on in January and the letter from immigration says i can work untill end of March.

I have just got a fantastic job offer today after 3 interviews and the 2 monthes period which mentioned in the letter from immigration will gonno be expired soon.

Yes, I am on the same page. I applied for a new work permit on Dec 1st, I got a letter that has mentioned March 31 and my work permit is valid until April 4. I got a new job in Jan and sent my work permit and the letter and they accepted them as my work eligibility, and I am working now and they haven't said anything.

Same happened to me. Just let your employee know and show him the letter they sent you.

Hi guys, I am an asylum seeker, my work permit expired today 10 February 2022 but I submitted an online application to renew it on 9 February 2022. The receipt from the transaction states that I submitted at 11:30pm 9 February 2022, technically, my work permit had not expired yet.

I failed to renew earlier due to personal circumstances that were beyond my control.

Is it legal for me to continue working as I want for the new work permit?

Please help. I am sure many people will also benefit from this.

If you applied before expiring your work permit and didn't leave Canada, you are eligible to work until the decision is made.

Here is my timeline
I submit my application: 15 Dec 2021
AOC: 20 Dec 2021
1st Medical: 22 Dec 2021
2nd Medical: 18 Jan 2022 (repeated for some error)
Biometric: 23 February 2022
Eligibility Interview: 05 March 2022

My lawyer submitted my WP application on the date of submission of the application (Refugee Claim),
My Eligibility Interview was on 05 March 2022, Still, I did not get any WP,
I don't know how the check the status of that? Any idea where I can inquire or track my WP? TIA
