I specified in my EE profile that I started to work for my current employer in September 2015. To my surprise, I received a letter from CIC on August 1st, stated that my profile has been updated. I checked my profile and my score increased and it says that I met eligibility criteria for CEC.

How is that possible? Am I really became eligible after only 11 months of full-time work, or I still have to wait till September to submit an application in case I receive ITA during the next round of invitation?

*I've been working 35 hours per week since September 15, 2016.

The system might find you eligble considering other factors rather than working experience period. Once you submit your application an officer will be assigned to your application and they will look at it thoroughly and if you lack work experience you will be rejected. So please do yourself a favour, submit your full application when you have passed the eligibility criteria (meaning you have finished 12 months of work).

Best of luck,

Thanks for the advice. That's precisely what I'm going to do. The only think I'm worried that if I get ITA in the next round, will it be possible to wait until September 15th to accept it and submit an application?

Yes, hopefully they will still have enough space to by then.

Best of luck,

That's promising. However, what do you mean by enough space? Are they guided by 60 days granted to make a decision on whether to accept ITA, or there is other hidden mechanism and quotas that may result in your application be rejected?

No there is no hidden quota. My mistake, I thought there is a Cap.

You're all good.

Hello, I have a question concerning express entry that I have been looking for answers in this forum. I am currently working in Nunavut, a skilled job for 6 months now, there is no territorial nominee program, so to get competitive points for the EE is difficult, My question is, is there any advantage applying for PR from Nunavut? will be happy for your responses. :) :)

You have to be eligible when you receive the ITA. If you get an ITA before you are eligible, you should refuse it and re-enter the pool.
