My citizenship account hasn't expired after 60 days?

Hi everyone, I created my citizenship account and application back in Oct 2023 and I saw the message to complete my application within 60 days.
I learned that the account will be permanently deleted if I don't submit my application within 60 days but I can create a new one with the same email and password and start over again.
However, my account has well passed the 60 days and I still can access it and fill up my application. Is that normal?
Should I continue with that application or should I create a new account and start from scratch?
Thank you.

Hi,

I am seeing the same on my account. What did you end up doing? Any guidance would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi @everyone,
I am facing the same issue. Can anyone please guide me after 60 days if the profile is still active should I continue and submit it or create a new application within the same signed-in account?

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing the same issue. My account has more than 120 days but still allow me to use it and start applications (so I assume is not expired yet). I am linking other family members applications (whose accounts are new) to mine so am concerned that if I keep working on this old account either i) my account will expire soon and so it will affect all the other family members applications or ii) that the application of my account is not valid at all and that I will have to redo everything at some point and will affect my family.

One thing I notice different in my account is that it doesn't show the legend "Submit all applications by November XX22, 2024 (60 days)" that I remember initially was showing when I opened the account... so that makes me thing that maybe the account even if I am able to use it and start applications is not valid anymore...

Can some one please provide their experiences and solutions for this issue? Much appreciated

Thank you all in advance

I have the same issue. I created the account in August and it’s been over 60 days and still I’m able to login and fill the details. I’m just puzzled if I can still complete my application and submit now.

If it's not deleted you can submit it.

Hi all. I had the same situation in the past. My account was created for more than 60 days. I continued with that account to submit my application, and it was approved 3 weeks ago

I am only guessing here but ... my guess is that the 60 day thing likely applies to accounts opened and then not used again for 60 days. That is a fairly common type of restriction and easy to code, and it serves the purpose for them of keeping the database from growing forever with additional abandoned cruft. (Important, it could be some other similar criteria like 'changing' something - or opening it in edit mode or other types of similar).

Therefore those of you who are creating them and then going in and checking are - resetting the clock, so to speak.

That said: I'm NOT suggesting anyone rely on this as a way of keeping their data 'live.' I could be wrong, they could modify their code, it could cause other problems, etc. But I think as an explanation, it's likely. And that if you can open it and complete everything, you can go ahead and file your application using it.
