hi guys. just got a quick question

if I already have a job reference letter from department head, in which the job duties are not detailed enough. My immediate supervisor is willing to offer a second detailed job reference letter, would that cause confusion during the evaluation process? can I submit both letters?

regards,
jeff

From my perpective , this may not correct, yet seek the expert's idea as well .
But two or more papars(confirmation letter or recomendation letter in your case) may be confused anyone who will be reading it .
From my side , If two high level position signed ,then it could be fined as long as will not make any issue from officer's side and do not have any drawbacks .
But Why you are not asked thr first guy to add , this not make any issue really ....

Thanks so much for your prompt reply. my department head was not willing to issue another job reference letter. so my immediate supervisor (manager) offers help. I would like to ask you one more question as to which letter to submit would be better.

1. job reference letter signed and stamped with company letter head, job duties are not detailed enough (in my opinion, maybe ok for ircc) so it might not match most of the duties
2 job reference letter signed with no letter head, notarized , business card provided, job duties best match

which one should i submit ?

Better to submit the one with letterhead and stamp. You can attach an LOE to explain that the supervisor doesn't want to provide another one.

Who says you have to choose one?

Job duties are one of main reasons why work experiences may not be accepted during eligibility review, so it is important. If the first letter doesn't match NOC duties, then add the second one or any other additional documentation you may have to support it. Do not underestimate VO's intelligence by thinking they'll be confused by having 1 more documentation.

Thank you so much for your advice. my first letter in which the job description is somewhat too generic so i was being a little bit worried as it might not match a substantial amount of duties needed (this is only my opinion, the job description might be ok for the review). So I just want to add a second letter as a supplementary document to assist during the review. I could not find any information similar to my case and therefore I needed some advice.

oh by the way, if the second letter cannot be printed on letterhead due to company policy (only department head or director can do so) yet my manager provides his business card instead. Would it cause any problem like invalidating all other documents? Do I have to get the second letter notarized? my first letter is printed on letterhead
please advise. thank you so much
