However, I have read that other members of this forum did not receive a confirmation after they sent their additional documents but have since been granted their LOAs. For your peace of mind, maybe it will not hurt to send MPNP an email to confirm their receipt?

Yes, this will acknowledge the receipt of documents about 7 days after your relative send sp2 and documents.

Just received my LOA last January 2, 2012. The letter was dated December 5, 2012. I have until May 30, 2013 to submit my Visa application. =)

How can my relative confirm that that SP2 was received? The first time we sent the SP2 it failed (email notification saying it failed) because of the size, on our 2nd attempt we successfully sent it I believe because there's no email saying it failed but i'm still worried as there's no confirmation/acknowledgement email to my relative about the SP2.

Hi! This also happened to me. My sponsor called up MPNP to confirm their receipt. Perhaps you can ask your sponsor to also do so. This is the safest and fastest way, i think, because the person on the other line can check immediately if your email was indeed received and if it has been forwarded for evaluation. Thanks! Now its more document filling time I wonder if there are members who can help with clearing out IELTS requirement for CIO submission.
It was not required when I initially submitted the online application.
