Hi Polay,

I'm afraid there is no way of tracking the application at MPNP. You are right. After submitting SP2 you just have to patiently wait for the interview and the LOA. I think I read somewhere that MPNP discourages inquiries as this may cause a delay in the processing of the application. Likewise, there is nothing in the MPNP website that provides for such tracking, as compared to the tracking provided by CIC. Hope this helps.

thanks..have to ask, is SP2 (settlement plan) is the same of MAS that sponsor need to fill-up with?

Hey carl,

thanks again....how long does it usually takes from SP2 before we receive the LOA? Is it true that LOAs for people who applied in June gets a little longer than the usual because of the backlog?

hello, my sister submitted her application via online ( family stream) end of May 2012 but she hasn't receive any response yet. Anybody who submitted at the same time ?

Hi Polay,

In 2011 the regular timeline is 2-3 months for online applications. In my case I got my LOA in less than 2 months. However, recent online applications are not meeting this timeline. I read somewhere that according to MPNP, due to the high volume of applications, this timeline does not currently apply. This timeline was removed from the website of MPNP several months ago. A safe guess might be 3-4 months from submission to LOA. Hope this helps!

Hi! When you apply online, you should have received an instant acknowledgement from MPNP regarding the application package that she had just submitted. In a few days she is supposed to have her File Number. Likewise, the sponsor should have received a copy of the Settlement Plan Part 2 to accomplish and send back to MPNP. All these communication are via email. If she has not received ANY response from MPNP, maybe she can send an email at mpnpapplicationhelp@gov.mb.ca

Hope this helps!
