Hello po sa lahat. I am new in this forum.. I am already in Canada, and now I am trying to help my Brother apply under MPNP, family stream. I am also a nominee, same stream, but that was 4 years ago and I heared there are a lot of changes in place. But when I read the application Kit it seems it's almost the same when i applied. Here the things that's been buzzing around here in Winnipeg na may mga changes daw. So I'm wondering based on your experiences kung nabago nga ba ang standard ng MPNP on assessing papers. Kasi I compared my checklist 4 years ago and the new checklist, NBI clearance and 6 pcs photos lang ang nawala, the rest are completely the same.

QUESTIONS:

1. IELTS --according to my co-workers all applicant are required to submit IELTS grade.
Anybody here who has submitted their application lately without IELTS? were you asked at a latter date?

2. Settlement Funds - do my brother really need to show 10,000 CAD even if I will sign the Part 2 of MAS?
I just find this absurd, Kahit dito nga kahirap mag save ng 10,000CAD.

Please share your experiences.
Nag back read na po ako (10 pages) pero wala akong nakita that will help me with this specific questions. Everyone seems to be on the later phase of this waiting game. I know the feeling. Good luck po sa lahat.

* My husband and I didn't submit IELTS, we only got from our Universities a Certificate that we used English language as medium of communication there when we were studying.

* Our sponsor there in Manitoba ( sis-in-law ) opened an account for my husband 5,000 CAD....but we submit our savings ( around 210K ) and time deposit ( 300k ) bank cert. That's what we did.


Is there anyone here same with ours? WE DIDIN'T TAKE IELTS EXAM....

Nun nag-pass kasi kami ng application my husband (principal applicant) took IELTS. Required na ata ngayon kse..may news na pinalabas noon..kya nag-take din sya.. About the settlement funds, kami talaga yun nag-show ng bank account kse in our case, we are under general stream.. I guess anyone in the family stream category could shed light on that.

When did you pass your application? did you receive an AOR already?
I already emailed the program but they have the most vague answer. They just told me that they MIGHT ask for an IELTS.
For settlement funds. They just quote the section that says if my brother can't meet the required funds i can sign the MAS Part 2 but he still have to show some liquid funds in his name. No specific amount given.

I can't believe ganito na ka higpit ngayon. Di pa namn ako sobrang tagal dito. Before I already got my Visa in 11 mos time. No hassle whatsoever. Pera ko sa bank that time 12k pesos lang

guys need ko sana advise nyo, tungkol po ito sa proof of funds plano ko kasi mag pasa na nang papers ko true MPNP family support stream kaso may nabasa ako hindi na daw acceptable yong real estates as one or part of the POF how true is this? kung totoo man to, hingi ako advise kung i push trough ko pa application ko kasi yong cash ko sa bank only 250T pesos pwede po ba mag sign nalang ko sponsor ko w/c is my cousin nang affidavit of financial support since under family stream naman yong category ko.hindi po ba risk yong gagawin ko. ako lng pala mag isa sa application ko since im still single.pls need your advise. thnks a lot Godbless

This is exactly my brother's case. I am signing part 2 of MAS but his liquid funds di aabot ng 10KCAD I emailed the Program asking about this. Here's the reply

"With respect to your inquiry, if an applicant is being supported by a close relative one MAS is required. Regarding settlement funds please be advised that even the supporter signed the MAS page 2 applicant still needs to provide a liquid funds on its own name as Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program is not a sponsorship.

In my case, they asked for my wife's baptismal cert. and elementary/secondary school records.
