Hi,

I would just like to ask, what do they mean by, "General stream. If you are a skilled worker with a connection to Manitoba apply to immigrate under the MPNP General stream"

Does it mean your job has to be in Skilled list/Occupation list? Or any job is fine and would get points in MPNP General?

Please guys enlighten me as this is critical whether should I apply or not. My job for four years now is only customer service agent in call center so if only SKILLED jobs will be considered for MPNP General and not just any job, then I will not pursue my application

Hello everybody, i'd like to ask all of you some questions about the MPNP form.

Did MPNP provided fillable PDF file?

I downloaded the form from this website http://www2.immigratemanitoba.com/browse/howtoimmigrate/application_forms.html But i found out that the Application for PR, in Canada form, Background Declaration form, Additional Family Information form & Schedule4 Economic Classes Provincial Nominees form is a bit blur. Can i fill in the above mentioned form by using the form which provided by cic.gc.ca? While the MPNP form fill in by hand (since they do not provided filable form so i have to complete it manually)?
l

I noticed that the APPLICATION FOR PR FORM in CIC website is slightly different with the one in immigratemanitoba.com. Can i fill in ECONOMIC CLASS in the "OTHER" empty box? Or i must use back the original form provided by MPNP?

hi all. sept. 6,2010 is labour day in canada and sept 10,2010 is also holiday in phil. CEM only have 3days working on our papers this week :'( but thats ok we all need some rests ;D

@kidrobot, answer the question on "occupation under which i'am applying" and "education/training". i made that mistakes of not answering those questions believing it is under the OPTION 2 but it is actually of a different column. look closely there's a white gap/space between them. HTH :)

hello forumers! have a blessed week ahead!

cheers! :D :D

hi takeshi!

in my understanding, your job is but one of the factors that they check if you can successfully settle in manitoba. equally important is your connection there. if you have close relatives (close is defined as parents/siblings/uncle/aunt/first cousins) or 2 friends who can provide you a Manitoba Affidavit of Support (called MAS), it increases your chance of being nominated. as for your current job, it is included in the 2003 list of occupations that is in demand in manitoba(visit http://www.gov.mb.ca/tce/docreports/hdo_en_2003.pdf look for NOC 1453). so if i were you, i would not hesitate. go ahead and apply for a nomination. you have nothing to lose and so much to gain. hope this helps!

by the way, if you do have close relatives in manitoba, i suggest that you apply in the family stream.

cheers!

my bad! my wife and i initially addressed the docs to the CEM PO Box, but DHL wouldn't accept it bec they need someone to receive the package(why didn't CEM think of this before? they indicated in the email that i need to forward it to the PO Box, but since i'm from the province i always use DHL). so we ended up sending it to the Visa Section address! i was able to talk to a DHL employee this morning and they confirmed that package was sent and received by a guard. Maybe i'll call the embassy later to check if they encashed it already...

i'm not that worried tho as the check is payable to CEM only, i'm sure the guards there are trustworthy! hahahaha

@ wengski -- :D :D hello! i'm from BATANGAS, hence the username batanGenyo29(beinte nueve is another term for balisong, the common length used by the barakos, hehehe) :o

If you are going to send the package thru snail mail, you can use the PO box address. If you're gonna send it through courier you should indicate the complete direct address. It was stated in the VISA instructions. :)

@lapoguenio

i didn't consider sending it thru snail mail to avoid any further delays on my application. here is the instruction from the CEM:
The RPRF can be submitted through courier to the Canadian Embassy or through the drop-box located at Basement 4 of the RCBC Plaza. For the Embassy address, refer to the upper right hand corner of this letter.

the address on the upper right hand corner of the letter was the PO Box. i sent it via courier using the other address (located on the upper left hand of the letter) which is

Visa Section
Level 6, Tower 2, RCBC Plaza
6819 Ayala Avenue
Makati City 1200
Philippines

in my understanding, both addresses are acceptable.

thanks!

Hello everybody, regarding the proof of funds, can i submit the photocopy of my bank's passbook (chop & sign by the officer of bank)? Or i must submit the letter of last 3 months statements which issued by the bank?

Thanks :)

Best regards!

hi kidrobot..kame we submitted photocopy of passbook showing 3 months history then we have it notarized..um-ok naman.. ;) even the BDO officer suggested that its ok to submit photocopy of passbook kc halos daw lahat ng clients nila na mag aaply sa Canada is ganun ginagawa in addition dun sa mismong Bank Certification.. FYI lang.. :)
