Hi guys I'm confused regarding the settlement fund which requires a 3 months bank history..I have an existing bank account since last year....the 3 months bank history is only 5,000 canadian dollars...I am going to deposit the remaining 5,000 canadian dollars this June so the total would be 10,000 canadian which is the required settlement fund...I was advised that I can apply only after 3 months meaning this coming September because of that bank history issue...can u help me guys, thanks a lot....

What I did is, I shown them six months bank statements where around 11000 CAD cash was available to my bank account for last continuous three months, before three months it was something near 5000/6000 CAD. So I think, try to show them as much time you can keep that cash amount in your account.

Also note that, you have to write a description of your source of fund. Clearly mention where you got those money from. Hope this help. :)

Hi Neeloy,

Greetings! From your reply it seems to me that, you have shown 3 months bank statement as settlement fund for MPNP, right? However, in my case I submitted a bank certificate showing the current balance of my account when I submitted my application. Now until to date, they did not ask me to submit account statement (3 months). I have submitted my application to MPNP in December, 4, 2013. However, I had to spent money from my account for some other reasons. So, now If they ask me to submit bank statement again and if they found that in any time, deposit in my bank account went below the minimum required amount (which in my case 16000CAD), will they refuge my application. Do they give any time limit to submit updated bank statement? Finally what kind explanation do I need to provide regarding the source of settlement fund (e.g., scholarship, business etc..). Do I need to provide any papers regarding the source of fund. Please suggest me what can I do now as my the current balance of my account is well short of minimum required amount. Off course I will deposit the minimum required amount within next week.

Sorry for inconvenience. Too many questions.

Best regards,

Eusufzai

As far as I remember, in the Settlement Plan Section 5. Your financial situation (Please provide a summary of your assets and debts as indicated in your MPNP application): you need to describe and in the form attachment you need to attach any evidence on the proof of fund (e.g Fixed deposit, savings, business account and income from that, etc).

And as you have not provided bank statement and if they want later you can deposit again the shortage amount when they demand and can provide the all months statements from the date you had the big amount. It is good practice to submit all possible source of fund and evidence before they ask. Each additional document they will ask will late your process by several months may be.

This is all from my experience and knowledge and not an Immigration or visa consultant. Hope this will help you... :)
