hi tabs and forever victory,

i did not apply through online, i submitted and sent my application via courier. yeah, i find my process quiet different though after reading testimonies here. i also felt odd when she said she had been called last sept 16th without the SP2 yet. the questions asked were how long we have met; what she'll do to help me settle; things about my work.

yes, thank God we were able to beat the deadline. she already e-mailed the SP2 and needed documents on the last day. =)

The questions are okay, they asked the same thing to my uncle, what he is willing to do to help me out, what he knows about me lately, i.e. my job etc.

You will be receiving your LOA soon. :D Good luck to all of us!

Hi Anabia,

The reason why the MPNP wants to know about your relatives is that they want to make sure that when they nominate you, you will remain in Manitoba (that is where you applied right?) - to live and work. There have been some threads here that people were denied nomination because they have stronger ties (relations) elsewhere in Canada.

May I ask how close is your relationship to your relatives outside Manitoba? And your relationship with your sponsor (relative, friend)?

If your relatives outside Manitoba are distant relatives (i.e. 2nd cousin) and your sponsor is a much closer relative (i.e. first cousin), then that means you have got stronger ties in Manitoba.

What you have to do is prove to them why Manitoba is your first choice to immigrate, rather than in Toronto. I do hope that you have much stronger ties in Manitoba.

Hope that is useful.

Hi Guys,

I just want to ask the percentage of approval on General Stream. If somebody know.

Just like mine, I was being sponsored by a friend and my job is not regulated. I still hope it will still be enough for an Approval.

Thanks,
Crix

Hi tomasmrsfg,

Don't worry about submitting both SP1 and SP2 together. I also did that (online application - January 2013) along with my sponsor's other required documents and they didn't contact my sponsor anymore until the interview.

marialeciram,

Did you state to MPNP to send them the result to your sponsor or to you?

If the letter is to be sent to your sponsor, ask your sponsor. This is usually better because your sponsor can know your result quicker and they can send you the original LOA by courier. My sponsor got the LOA within the week.

Otherwise, if you asked them to send the result directly to you by post, then give it longer time. In my own experience of sending registered post abroad (to UK from PH) it took 1 and half months. Could be the same from Canada to PH.

I think your answers are satisfying. Enough for LOA. Now hope for the best.

I think in some ways I agree with ibad17 here, you were confident enough in answering the questions regarding your job interest with Manitoba and you were honest (stating that you are close to your relative in Manitoba), too.

Fingers X for you, you should be receiving your LOA soon.

:) :) :) :)
