MPNP General Stream Applicants

I'm october 2012 applicant, my documents sent also directly to MPNP office, but still no AOR yet. I keep on checking my email everyday, and hoping to receive the aor. It took for almost 8 1/2 months but still no updates. As per checking the tracking sheet august applicant just got an interview this month of june which clearly shows a 10months waiting period for the interview. But, still there are June applicants haven't got their sponsor's interview like you. We really dont know what causes the delays, and how do they assessed the applications they received, and what are their basis. We have no choice or option but to wait. We just need to keep on hoping and praying that our application goes well. Good luck to all of us. God bless!

When do they do the prescreening? Does sending settlement plan by your sponsor mean you are prescreened? Does that mean your application is complete and you are eligible?

Hi forever victory.. No one knows the processing procedure of mpnp. I know mpnp give priority to FS bcoz the intentions and connection are strong of FS applicant bcoz of family relation reason. As we know gs online tool was just started in jan 2013 so of course I applied by snail mail or courier in April 2012. One thing more I'm not a single applicant who is waiting from last 1 year, actually there are 20-25 gs applicants those are waiting from last 1 year or more. These all applicants are present on this Canadavisa.com in different threads. So think abt others those are not on this website, we can't assume tht how many gs applicants are in waiting list frm last one year. Most are of April may June 2012 applicants. I think no one heard any sponsor interview for online gs applicants yet. And jan 2013- feb 2013 FS applicants already got their loa. So this is the difference between FS and gs processing time. Mpnp have 5000 nomination cap limit per year ... And right now they have thousands of applications to process. So nobody knows how they pick applicants and wht is the processing procedure of mpnp.

Hi Aman deep, thank you for your reply. I do not think I can still wait very long, I am one of the 280,000 Federal Skilled Worker applicants affected by changes in the immigration law. I applied in September 2005 just to find out that my application fee will be refunded. So unfair! All backlog applicants wasted our youth, investment opportunities and overseas job opportunities. I am already 45 years old now, how many more years should I still wait. I am now confused. Thank you.

I got 2 know from some higher resoutces (MPNP worker) dat dey r working on OCT 2012 applicants now a days...Ol da best

As per my poor knowlegde ..gettin an AOR mEANS UR prescreening has startd ..if in eligible dey wll tell u in 3 weeks period at its max. for family stream...dunno abt GS...may b its different

hi i applied in general stream in june 2012 and got AOR in oct 2012 after that no news from immigration. 10 month finish but no interview and LOA :'(plz tell me about total manitoba processing time .

Can you tell me is you have applied through online or manual...?

I e mailed the application help centre twice dey have been very kind...They told thru the FAQ sec..sumthng like dis..

The MPNP is based on a bilateral agreement with the Government of Canada which requires the province to thoroughly and consistently pre-screen all applicants to ensure that each nominee has a clearly demonstrated potential to become a successful economic immigrant to Manitoba.
This is why the MPNP processes the strongest applicants first by selecting those with confirmed employment, job-ready English, training and work experience indicating potential for employability and/or strong family connections.
Manitoba cannot guarantee processing times for any application because each application is assessed on its own merits and each requries follow-up with applicants and supporters to ensure program integrity.
Applicants who use the online application tool receive expedited processing.

but can you do us a favour and ask your friend about GS online time line only. I mean ask them about the estimated time. Like when is Jan applicant's Sponsor interview or LOA expected.??
