Hello Znarfier/ and others,

You have any idea how long it will take for the processing with CIC from the day of application received.

My application was received on February 05, 2016

Thank you.

Hello dafdipson!

CIC promised 15 months for Provincial Nominees.

Check here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp#

May 05, 2016 -- application fee charged to my credit Card

Apr 05, 2016 -- AOR + File Transfer to VO
May 05, 2016 -- AOR + File Transfer to VO

Jul 05, 2016 -- MR + RPRF
Aug 05, 2016 -- MR + RPRF

Aug 05, 2016 -- Meds Done / Received
Sep 05, 2016 -- Meds Done / Received

Dec 05, 2016 -- PP request
Jan 05, 2017 -- PP request

Jan 05, 2017 -- Visa on hand

Here's more dafdipson!

Service standard for all paper applications under the Provincial Nominee Program (including from applicants who did not qualify to apply via Express Entry)

Service Standard

CIC’s goal is to process all paper applications under the Provincial Nominee Program within 11 months. This does not include the time it takes the province to process. In order to process an application, we must have all information and supporting documents.

This service standard was implemented in September 2011 and revised in March 2015 to include applications from “base” nominees who do not qualify to apply via Express Entry.

Performance Target

CIC aims to meet the service standard 80 percent of the time.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful job. Please I need your advice.

I got LAA on February 11, 2016 and I'm about to submit my application. My wife's maternal uncle is my sponsor. Will his birth certificate and that of my mother-in-law suffice as proof of familial relationship? If not, what other documents can i add.

Also, will I be the one to send Form SPP2 to him or the Manitoba provincial office?

Hi amokemi,

You need to provide your marriage certificate, your wife's birth certificate, her mother's birth certificate, her mothers's brother's birth certificate. your mother in law's and her brother's birth certificate should show exact same father name. In summary, it should be a total family tree, not a broken one.

Manitoba provincial office will send the spp2 to candidates. you should keep in touch with your supporter and give him all the updates.

Hope it helps.

Thanks so much sb689. That was a clear explanation. But I require a few clarifications please.

There is no where in any of the forms where I will state my sponsor. Is it okay if I include it in my statement of purpose?
Also, will I be the one to submit the familial documents or my sponsor?

Kindly help shed light on this.
