Hi,
I am new here and need help.
Please I have some concerns. I have decided to apply to MPNP but before then, I had already indicated interest in Quebec skilled workers program. Without my interest in the QSWP, I have 575 points, but with it, I have 100 points subtracted from me. Should I just go ahead and apply stating that I have not shown interest in any other program.
You have to answer few questions when applying for MPNP regarding your intention of permanent settlement in Manotiba. Is your application for Quebec has been rejected for some reason? if yes, then you are free to apply for MPNP. Otherwise how would you prove that you have genuine intention of residing in two provinces at the same time? PNP programs are for those candidates who have a genuine intention of permanently settle down in a province. Still if you want to apply to both provinces hiding information, then do a bit more research about consequences. I do not have a clear idea in this subject.
Secondly, I will like to know how long it was for you to go through the process for LAA to issueing of visa.
No candidate from 2015 outland SWO has yet finished the whole cycle. So clear estimation is not available. candidates of first batch from May 2015 have received provincial nomination and submitted their application to CIC in February 2016. May be they have to wait for another year to complete full process.
Thirdly, Can one land in Manitoba and still relocate easily to some other province if survival is difficult? And if yes, how long do you need to do that?
As much information I could gather from this forum, you have to try for a year. you have to show some genuine attempt of settlement in Manitoba before moving away from the province. Like you have tried to get job, attended programs for new immigrants, tried to improve your skill to get a job at Manitoba. After all of these attempts, if your living condition is still not satisfactory you can apply for moving to other provinces showing good reasons. Till now provincial government has not published any rule about what will they do to the PRs who change provinces after getting nomination, but they may do so anytime. To be frank, if you do not have the intention of settling in a province, do not go for PNP. In that way you save yourself from facing complex situation in future and save other genuine candidates from being suspected. Because of few cases like this PNP programs are getting stricter every year. Candidates selection process is becoming more complex and immigration process is getting lengthy.
Please I would be happy to read your kind response.
Thank you very much.
