Re: MPNP Application Batch 2016

Hi.
Congrats on the process.:)
Can you be a little more specific about how far along your process is completed? That way, everyone here on the forum can tell you what to expect next.
Did you get the letter of nomination already? If so, then the next step is to apply to CIC using that nomination letter.
You can check these links for that:

1. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-how.asp
2. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP7TOC.asp
3. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/prov-apply-application.asp

Post your timeline if possible, and the details of the process you have completed so far, starting from Applying to MPNP. That'll be a big help. People can pinpoint the specifics of what you need to do next that way.

Hi mohdsafiuddin,

I'm from the Philippines and I had my medicals in one of the Panel Physicians in Manila. No pre-scheduling was required by my Panel Physician - they allowed walk-in.

> prior to the medical examination:
- I printed out the MR letter and all the forms IMM 1017 for each member of my family and filled it out.
- Aside from our original passports, I also prepared 2 photocopies of all of our passports (the information page and the last page)
- I brought 4 passport size pictures of each member of the family (recently taken - w/in 6 months)

> we arrived at the medical clinic at around 7:00 am and were given our queue # for registration.
> at the registration, we submitted the MR letter, the IMM 1017 forms, our original passports, the passport photocopies, and the sets of passport size pictures. They then provided us with other forms to fill up.
> after the registration, we were directed to the cashier to pay. We were given the receipts to present upon each stages of the medical tests.

> initially, our blood pressures (vital signs), height, and weight were taken
> then the succeeding tests we did were the laboratory tests.
- they provided us with clean collection bottles for our urine
- we had phlebotomy (blood extraction) procedure
> we all went thru the eye examinations first and then physical examinations followed:
- we were interviewed by the MD (individually, except they allowed us to accompany the kids)
= health history was asked (including family health history)
= the test included examination of our naked bodies (done very privately) and some movement coordination
> next came the chest x-rays (kids below 7 were exempted)
> we waited for the x-ray results
> while waiting for the x-ray results, we went to the immunization section (I believe that's what it's called) and were asked for immunization / vaccine history. If lacking, they'll provide you with one at an extra cost.
> at the very last, after all test results were finalized, we were informed of the results.

Regarding the police clearance certificates, we submitted ours with the PR application as what was listed in the checklist.

... Good luck to all of us ...

Hi purpleheart,

My friend told me that medical in IOM is Php 7,500.00 per pax. But if there are any additional test required by the physician (like test for hepa), there will be additional cost. Pleas share your timeline. :)

hi Guys:

Please help me on this.

I got a mail from CIC as following:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This message is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the provincial nominee class. Your file has now been transferred to the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong for further processing.
This letter is comprised of two parts: the first part is a request for documentation that requires your immediate action. The second part contains general information which you should carefully review.

PART ONE – DOCUMENT REQUEST

........

For the principal applicant and all dependents, whether accompanying you to Canada or not:
¨ If you have not yet undergone an immigration medical exam or your immigration medical exam results will expire within the next 120 days, you are required to undergo an Upfront Medical exam and include a copy of the Upfront Medical Report form (IMM 1017B) from your panel physician. For instructions on how to undergo an upfront medical exam, visit: .... and review the section “Undergo your exam before you submit your application.” Separate medical instruction forms will not be sent to you.
........

For the principal applicant and spouse/common-law partner (if accompanying):
¨ If not yet paid: Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). We strongly encourage you to pay your fees online and to submit a copy of your receipt to our office. For information regarding fees, click here: ....
........
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

my questions are following:

---Is this means I should do the Upfront MR & pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) at this stage?

---The RPRF could be paid online, but I don't aware of the Number of Applications. The application of mine is whole family, me, my wife and a 7 years boy. I see my boy do not need to pay for this, and my wife needs to pay,so should fill 2 for it?

Thank you very much!

First of all, congratulations my friend. This is the Medical Request and RPRF request we are all waiting for. Yes, this means you (and your wife and boy) have to do medicals.

It also means you have to pay the fees. I am not sure what you have already paid with the submission of your application. If you can tell me I can work out the exact amount you still need to pay. Otherwise, just click on this link and work it out (you only need to fill one):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp#rprf

Would you mind to share your timeline as well as the link they provided for getting the upfront medical forms from?

Did you apply via Express Entry or normal paper based application to CIC?

Hi engr_40905,

Yes, you're correct. It's advisable that we are at our best health possible when undergoing medical tests to avoid "medical furtherance"...
I have a friend who sadly had high blood pressure and high cholesterol level (during meds test) and was advised to do ecg and was prescribed some medications. Her medicals were only completed upon the re-scheduled test check-up...Imagine the effect it did further on her bp with the stress she was having?

... AFIK, the panel physicians do put notes of all of these ... If you read back from the past posts re: this topic, there were a few who was requested "medical furtherance" by CIC even after their meds results were already sent by their panel physicians.

Please also refer to the post of one of our seniors, ragluf:
ragluf said:
Ang iniiwasan naman sa medicals is finding out any symptoms or results that lead to conditions falling under medical inadmissibility or refusal based on health grounds. So there are two main (and broad" reasons for refusal:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/admiss/index.asp

An applicant may be refused on health grounds – if their condition:

is likely to be a danger to public health or public safety, or
might reasonably be expected to cause excessive demand on health or social services

Ang common example nyan is TB. TB is termed still as a public health issue - considering na communicable ito. A person having active TB is seen as a danger to public health (danger of transmitting the disease to the general population). So if nakita sa results ng medical na active ang TB ng isang applicant, malaki ang possibility na ma-refuse based on health grounds. Kaya madaming ginagawang follow-up if me nakitang traces of TB - at madalas papasok sa medical furtherance ang nakitaan ng TB.

Now another example, if me symptoms ka na leading to discovery of a condition like - lets say leukemia/forms of aggressive cancer or major diseases - then managing this may cost more than what is the threshold per person per year - and maaring papasok ka sa refusal based on excessive demand to health and social services. Note sa example dito - hindi naman danger sa public health ang pagkakaroon ng cancer, pero malaki naman ang demands sa public health services para mai-manage/magamot ito - lalo na kung kinakailangan ng specialized treatment/experimental procedures.

So yung mga symptoms or findings - like high uric acid, etc., me mga limits yan. Maaring high ang uric acid, pero not high enough to indicate me posibilidad na me iba pang sakit at kailangan ng added tests para ma-rule out ito.

Ideal is no signicant findings ang result sa clinic after mag-medical, hindi significant enough leading to refusal on health grounds.

.../atb
... Good luck to all of us ...
