Hey guys,

I wanted to let you know that I went today to the border (St-Stephen, NB, city, not the big border on the highway) and got my residency! It took 15 to 20 minutes and the officer was really nice. He said congratulation and even did shake my hand!

It will be the case for all of you soon, I am sure

Is it possible for an outland PNP applicant to get work visa when his application is in process at CIC for PR?

PNP (we got PNP at 27 July 2014)
28 October 2014 (they received app)
Acknowledging receipt March 31,2015
Processing started March 31,2015
Medical request April 4 2015
Schedule A ( additional information) asked in July 21,2015 ( Sydney ,NS)
January 12,2016 we got email where asking for passports (this email was from Ottawa,On)
Next day passports was sent (January 13,2016)
They received passports for two days and we got it back January 26,2016
Landed January 27,2016 at Pacific hwy x-ing Canada /USA border

Hi Dean, My passports reached CIC on Jan 18th only.

October 10, 2014 applicant here. It makes me so sad because there is no news even after normal processing time has passed. I do not know when I will get a decision made on my application. Called CIC and the agent whom I spoke with first said normal processing time is just an average measurement and there is no actual time frame ??? and they may ask additional documents if needed. The second time the agent was a gentleman and more understanding said the application is still in processing and hopefully a decision can be made soon. Even he said he would send a message to the visa office. Always checking emails and ECAS, but nothing.

Hi Ophillia,
I understand your stress as I was going through the same for several months.
I felt being treated unfavoured and so sad about the delay.But it is what it is.We can not do anything .I did what ever I could, called CIC,and MP. But still no further progress.
I feel calm and peace because I deviated my focus from that delay and my PR application to something else. I joined the fitness club, started going to Ciniplex every weekends and to the public library the possible weekdays, I am trying to focus on my job, dedicating little bit more than I used to, meeting my friends regularly and making food for them at my home. It worked successfully .Now I do not check emails and ECAS every 2 hours like before, just checking my emails every morning. If there is PPR I will send my passport ,that is all.
I am October 10,2014 applicants.
