Hey Tabs,

This is just a Query for beginners. How to get started with MPNP (May helps every one indeed)

I have few questions like regarding MPNP.

1) What is SP2
It stands for Settlement Plan 2 form, which the sponsor will have to fill in. This form will demonstrate on how close the relation or friendship is between the applicant and the sponsor. Here the sponsor will also state on how he/she is planning to help their friend establish a successful life in Manitoba.

2) How will the Sponsor (Friend) gets Interviewed
The sponsor will have to wait for MPNP to give them a call. So, the applicant will have to make sure that the sponsor's details are provided correctly during submission.

3) How long does it takes to get Nominated
There is no exact time frame, but recently it takes between 6-9 months. It really is on a case to case basis.

4) After nominated what are the steps
After nomination, the applicant will have to complete his/ her documents required by the CIC (Canadian Immigration and Citizenship) in Novia Scotia. From here, you will have to follow CIC procedures.

5) If we are holding PGWP and have 6 months of Work experience with full time Job do we still need a Sponsor?
Yes, for the new application process, even with a post-graduate working permit, you would still need a sponsor. I imagine, since that a PGWP has already studied in Manitoba for a number of years, a PGWP has already established enough roots in Manitoba. Therefore, a PGWP has gained friends and colleagues throughout the years if he/she doesn't have any relatives in Manitoba.

P.S I am not applying, Just want to gain some knowledge about this
Your help in assistance would be very much appreciated :)

Last Question
So, If you get nominated and receive the LOA. Its a guarantee approval for PR or the final decision is made by CIC?

There is no 100% guarantee. We are all still standing on stilts until we receive our visas.

LOA just makes your application more credible as you have the backing of MPNP. MPNP has already done the preliminary background of your work, education, relationship to your sponsor and finances.

Upon submission of CIC, your application is much more based on your medical and security conditions, i.e. you have a contagious illness or you have been convicted of a crime. And whether you are going to pose any danger to the Canadian society. If you have nothing to hide and you have always been a law abiding citizen and/or healthy as a horse. Then your visa application will go quite smoothly.
