Thanks for your helpful insights tabs179tabs179 said:I am not a big fan of consultants. I know people who faced problems with their consultants. For example, an applicant has been waiting for an AOR for almost two months. Upon asking me why it was taking a while, I asked the applicant to check the email address provided to CIC, and the applicant told me that he will check it with the consultant (he had no copies). The applicant then found out that the consultant's secretary typed his email address incorrectly. Instead of the consultant, who should get in touch with CIC for their error, they told the applicant to fix the problem.
Useless really, and I had someone ask something quite similar, for MPNP application, this time. And again, the consultant asked the applicant to fix the problem. Whatever for are you paying them?
You do not need to 'Canadianize' or 'sanitize' your application. All Canadian authorities are familiar with the differences, they know they are immigrants. It's just a marketing tool.
After this rant, remember, this is only my point of view. End of the day, it is your decision.
I also want to ask about my distant relative in manitoba
he is my second cousin. his dad and my dad are first cousins. do i need to upload his birth certificate and his dad's and granddad's?
the last time we met we were still kids growing up in the 70's. then fast forward to the 90's we met when they went home here. then, we were reconnected thanks to facebook and skype several years ago. since then, we have been calling and chatting and facebooking.
he is willing to nominate me and to let my family stay in his house if ever we get approved.
do you think that is enough connection to have my application approved? what kinds of proofs are required for distant relatives?
thanks
