Yes, it will be in PDF form...will be sent immediately to your email address after payment. You need to print the receipt in order to fill-up the required infos. However, you can also enter the infos electronicall if you have a PDF write through the use of the "typewriter" facility in PDF writer.

guys i received the payment receipt form which i have to fill-up. but in the cic instructions, it is stated there to "attach the bottom portion (copy 2) of this receipt to your completed application". but what is that bottom portion?

i used my brother's credit card. does that mean that in the receipt, should i put my info or my brother's? name, dob, client id, address, postal code, area code & tel no.

There's no bottom portion. Enclosed the complete receipt in your application after filling-up the required information. You should write your personal details not your brother's even if you use his credit card.
