hi all,

I applied for MPNP in jan 2012 under general steam(mail) from India. I got AOR on 5 June and sponsor interview on 1 sep. but still i am waiting for LOR.
I am little worried becoz it shouldn't take that much time to get LOR after sponsor interview. So could anyone tell me that how can i find out about LOR and immigration s' decision? how can i contact to MPNP office. Becoz i heard that it takes only one to two weeks after sponsor interview.

Hello:)

May I know where is your mailing address. is it in Canada or in India? If your mailing address is in India, consider the time that it will be sent in your home country since letters from MPNP are snail mail.

The only way to find out is by receiving the letter from MPNP stating the result of your application.

Have more patience and continue praying.

Hello Tweety,

Regarding on official language, Is it necessary to send 2 IELTS result for General Stream?

Hello :)

You mean 2 IELTS results, 1 for the principal applicant and 1 for the spouse?

There is a rumor that spouse of the principal applicant should also submit IELTS. I checked on the MPNP website, there is no news/statement about it. I also checked on the checklist for General Stream and this is what is stated for English and/or French Language ability:
*copies of educational testing and/or employment documents demonstrating ability in either or both official language(s) for both applicant or spouse
*IELTS test results

I think the letter "s" in the word results is added if in case the spouse of the principal applicant also took the IELTS. But since there is no official statement from MPNP, in my opinion, dependants can still submit certification of english language ability from school and from work but principal applicants are highly recommended to submit IELTS even if you fall under NOC Level A or B. For NOC Level C or D it is a requirement.

I hope this helps.

Wow!!! That's really a good news. Congratulations :)

Did they ask for any additional documents when your receive the file number/AOR? After you receive the AOR, were you interviewed? Sorry, I don't have much idea about Strategic Initiative.

Hi, we went to the exploratory visit august of last year, at the end of the visit we were interviewed.
we applied july 3rd, got file number july 4th and got LOA yesterday. thats it, no other mail, email, request, nothing... overall it took less than 3 months.

In the Exploratory Visit (EV) process, there is no sponsor involved. In EV you have to travel to Manitoba to evaluate how well you can potentially settle in the province after 7-10 days of this visit and will be interviewed by an Immigration officer. The MPNP will now issue an invitation to apply letter afterwards if you are considered qualified. This letter is more or less like permission to go and apply for Nomination and you application will be assessed for LOA.

So in this stream no need for sponsor or SP1 or SP2 that you have in general or family stream

This is a key element of assessing you academic qualification and would suggest you work hard in getting it. The truth about is that you are competing with people from all-over the world who have not only Masters degree but Phd (Doctorate Degree) and they are all providing transcripts for these academic qualifications.

Providing just a diploma you obtain from an accounting course or English course diminishes you potential as a good or employable person and can delay or deny you a place in the nomination process.

Please note that since the freeze of Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) application people have been looking the way of PNP which includes Manitoba and competition has increased for nomination. So don't loose that opportunity, try and get all the requirements so there is no excuses to deny you.

Hi Guys,

I need some Help, I got confused about what Should I put/answer in the Mailing address, email address and phone number in MAPP (page1) based on what I have read and Understood. It says that.

They recommend to put a manitoba mailing address in MAPP (page1) to ensure the correspondence from them reaches me in a secure and timely manner. Should I put the address of my sponsor on this portion instead of my current address? or it only applies if I have a representative?? ,

Guy please somebody help me with this matter.

It is better to put the address of your sponsors as they can immediately receive letters from MPNP like AOR especially LOA. Unlike if your mailing address is in your home country it will take time for you to receive the letters by snail mail. I can imagine the agony of waiting to know the outcome of the application after the sponsor's interview. That is my mistake, I put my mailing address in my home country, Philippines. It took almost a month before I receive my AOR.

Are there any docs that i need to submit by snail mail aside from the docs that I uploaded for the online application?

I applied by mail under General Stream. As far as I know with online application, all required documents are scanned and uploaded. If there are additional docs after you got the file number it can be sent thru email.

Hi everyone!
Yesterday, I received an "Ineligible Letter" by email. :-\ It said:
- You did not demonstrate proof of your connection to Manitoba as outlined in the eligibility
criteria. Specifically, you did not provide sufficient documents to prove your relationship to
your Manitoba relative and your Manitoba supporter did not provide the Settlement Plan Part 2.

My sponsor is my cousin, and I had provided certificate of birth of me, she, and our mothers. She also has sent the SP2, tax payment, apartment renting contract and her salary payment documents.
What else I should have sent? ???
My IELT credibility has been finished after applying, so I should pass another exam for applying again. >:(

Its not only that you have relative there its also that how much your relative can support you. this all goes how was the interview with your cousin and how strong your cousin situation there.
