For clarifications: do they send the file number to the applicant via e-mail? where or how to use the file number, should i need to know the updates?

Hi Cardinal 11,With regards to Ur question ...Yes I received my AOR via email, with my file Number , my sponsors email too was copied at that time. I actually submitted on line, so all my correspondence except for the LOA were sent via email. The file no is Ur own unique number ,and it should be written or typied if Ur are required to send documents with the Province with regards to ur nomination.In my case I was asked to to send my 6mth bank statements(I orignally uploaded 3mth) ,so I had to write out my file number on all the sheets before I scanned them down. I hope I have been able to shed some bits of light on Ur question.Rgds ...toyeeen.

I see..i thought i can utilize it (like in a certain website) and eventually acquire an update...you mentioned bank statement, was it requested after you received your AOR to support your application or during the processing of LOA? thanks!

Hi, Friends,
I have received my AOR giving a file number starts with MB (by the mercy of almighty Allah). It is dated as July 18, 2012 mentioning that Manitoba office will review the application whether it is complete. I don't know if they ask anything else at a later time. Can you tell me what might be the next steps? Thank you all for your helps.

From the email (AOR) I received my number started with "MB". This is follwed by four digits, an hyphen (-) and 6 digitS afterwards. So in summary the number came like this: MBXXXX-XXXXXX

The file number that will be issued at NS (CIO) is the one that can be used to check Ur status at every point in time on d net, it comes with the AOR issued at NS, after quality control check has been carried out on Ur documents whilst applying for your PR visa. Right now the file number U have received will only be used to exchange correspondence with the Province U re relating with.Well I stand to be corrected, but that was what was obtainable when I was issued my AOR from Manitoba in Feb.Thanks ...Toyeeen.
