just when i thought my application result is on the way, i just got interviewed by mpnp yesterday.

Not a bad deal Cmj. It means your application is in the process of being finalised and hopefully you should get your LOA soon.

Processing of LOA is very slow lately and really dont know if it has anything to do with this:

Thanks for this link. I think somehow there is a connection. It is quite weird action for CIC to relocate the Manitoba's immigration office to Calgary. ??? :

Hi kurt... You got ur LOA or not. I think it's now 50 days passed your sponsor being interviewed. Check out tracking sheet one another applicant ( IWCI) who is waiting for LOA from last 4 months. Don't know why mpnp is very slow regarding gs applicants... In everything like AOR, Interview , LOA mpnp processing is very slow. Hope for quick results

I read about the article, and thanks for sharing. I hope they can do something about the backlogs from last year. Many people are waiting for their response.

How was your interview?

In my observation, applicants who were interviewed as well are those who have a close relative in other province, who applied in different route like LICP and the destination is not in Manitoba, lastly, those who were just randomly interviewed. Are you classified in any of these?

I was interviewed by the MPNP officer because I applied under LICP and my destination is in Ontario.

While waiting for your decision letter, better prepare for your PRV application to CIO. It will save you so much time and this will also ensure that your application is complete by time you receive your approval.

really? what do you think is the reason for the interview? especially your on family stream as what I've observe they only do that in GS category...sorry I have so much question, I'm just nervous

It keeps me wonder why, there is no updates in GS applications.. I only see FS updates ;D..or do they finish first the FS before they proceed to GS?? I hope it will happen like that.... just thinking aloud.

There must be an underlying reason why CMJ was interviewed. MPNP has the prerogative to interview anybody related to the applicant in order to clarify vague aspects of one's application. In my case I'm under FS, my sponsor (sister-in-law) was interviewed and I'm not BUT another person related to the sponsor was interviewed... another brother-in-law whom she earlier supported but presently working in Edmonton. My sponsor admitted the fact to MPNP that the guy was working outside Manitoba when the question was asked. I was lucky to receive an LOA despite that brother-in-law breaking the rule. Anyway, I was already prepared to lodge my appeal if in case I was not given an LOA due to that reason!

As long as the applicant and as well as the sponsor is telling the TRUTH, one should not get nervous. ;D ;D ;D

I talked to my cousin, who is my sponsor, yesterday & she told me that one of the person whom she sponsored before is now staying in a different province. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the interview, but the interviewer did not ask me anything about that matter. Some of the questions which I didn't answer clearly was the full names of my sponsor's spouse & parents, the date my sponsor came to Manitoba & the work of my sponsor's spouse. I just answered the interviewer their nicknames & I also told that I'm not sure about the date which I have said.

Can anyone here know some reasons for application rejections?

my sponsor received it in Manitoba last Thursday via mail, April 25,2013.
