House , one query regarding economic classes forms to be sent to CIO .

1.What should we mention in stream/ category .?

2.Should we mention the same amount in canadian dollars that we had submitted to MPNP or we need to convert the amount again in cad and then take certificate from bank and mention that amount in it ?

Hello Singh:

1. Fill in the stream you applied under mpnp. In my own case it was strategic initiative stream and that was what I entered in that section of the form.

2. I actually had the same thinking as you are doing now but opted to assess my bank balance and investments (fixed deposit, shares/stocks, etc) and reported the figure. Though the figure dropped from what I stated in my MPNP application it was not that significant. Ensure it does not fall below the minimum requirement as stated in CIC for your family size.

2. It is safe to declare the current amount in your bank, like what Emperor said it doesn't matter if it is below the amount you declared before in
MPNP as long as the amount is within the requirement. (10k PA + 2k for each dependant)

As they have not inquired for the proof of funds unlike last time.. Just confirming.....

Happy to inform everyone that we received our LOA.

The LOA date was November 12, 2012. MPNP actually sent the LOA on November 13, 2012 but due to improper address used by MPNP, the letter was returned back to Manitoba so they have to resend back with an amendment on the expiry date. MPNP acknoweldged the mistake in the address and they corrected not only the expiration date but including notification to the appropriate VISA office as stated in the amendment letter dated Jan. 3, 2013.

To God be the Glory. Thank you Lord and thanks also to all of you.

Am I able to apply considering these shortcomings ?

The only way is to apply under Strategic Initiative Exploratory Visit of MPNP but I'm not sure when it will resume or if it has resumed already. If you have a friend in Manitoba, you may apply under General Stream. Please go to the official website of MPNP to discover other options and to know how each stream works.

Hi Morina, MPNP is now accepting EV request, this is under Strategic Initiative.
