i received the file number a few hours after I have sent it on Dec. 22. My relative was also given the notice to submit the SP2 on the sameday. We applied for the Family Streaming.

i have few important questions to you, though i know you can only do the guess work, still:

In 2007 Nov I had applied for Federal Skilled Programme at CIC London office, my status was "in process" for till summers this year. Now I was filling a form to get refund of processing fee since pre 2008 Feb fee are not being processed any further as per new canadian govt. guidelines. So i just had a look at my application status, and now it is showing "decision made". i haven't recieved any mail from CIC London office what is the decision made by them, so i have written them a mail through case related query form on the website.

now my question is I am going to send application package to CIC Nova Scotia soon once I get police certificate from UK, but at the same time I am confused that won't CIC Nova Scotia will point out that your FSW application is also in process. I have waited long for FSW, before decieding to move to Manitoba, now i dont want to jeopardize my Manitoba application due to FSW application.

what is your view, will FSW have any impact on my Manitoba Application.

I actually have no much idea about FSW. But based from the details/info you had given, if I am in your situation, I would wait for the letter coming from CIC to know what decision they made for my FSW application. Where is your destination province?

Since the decision has been made and hopefully it is positive, then there is no point for you to apply again for PR visa with the nomination you got from Manitoba. I believe that FSW application also grants PR visa. And if you really intend to stay in Manitoba, you may do it since there is no restriction to transfer from one province to another for FSW applicants.

There are numerous MPNP applicants who also applied in FSW first and successfully got their nomination then eventually received their refund. This is because the decision hasn't made for them yet. So, your case is different from them. I think it is more complicated if you will apply your PR visa.

You can wait for others opinions, comments, for you to decide well.

A decision made on your FSW application will only be positive decision if you have done medical and CIC has concluded background check on you. This seems not to be your case, correct me if am wrong.

Therefore it is obvious your FSW application has been terminated by the Jobs, Growth and Long-term Prosperity Act which became law on June 29, 2012. This Act terminated by operation of law if a decision based on FSW program selection criteria had not been made by an immigration officer before March 29, 2012 on an FSW application which I believe include yours. My advise is to go ahead with your PNP applications by filing with CIC Nova Scotia as quickly as possible as you are fortunate to have gotten an alternative unlike others who will have to wait till May 2013 when the new FSW stream opens.

As for your FSW application fee, this will be returned to you in the future.

Have you completed the process for FSW?

If not, then there is no way that they can grant you the PR visa like what Emperor said. If this is the case, go on with your PR visa application to CIC once it is ready.

OMG! Anybody please clarify whether I made the biggest mistake in my application!!! I applied under Family Stream as principal with my sister in-law (my wife's elder sister) as sponsor! Do you think I should have applied under General Stream??? :'( :'( :'(

We have the same case, my sponsor is my father's first cousin, so I am categorized under GS.
