MPNP Application 2012

Hi everyone!

I just want to share the good news with you guys, my sponsor was finally interviewed last Monday, October 15. (My AOR is dated May 30,2012)
According to my sponsor, the interview lasted for about 5 mins. Very basic questions about my personal information
were asked: How are we related, nature of my work, if i'm married, name of my husband and how many kids i have. She was also asked about her work.
I'm hoping to get positive result. Btw, here's my timeline:
Jan. 20, 2012 - Application Filed MPNP - GS
May 30, 2012 - AOR
October 15, 2012 - Sponsor's Interview

Does a spouse of a principle applicant applying under Family Stream have to take the IELTS exam??????
I am asking because section "English and/or French ability" of Family Stream Documents Checklist says that spouse have to show her English knowledge. Does this mean that she has to take the IELTS?

Hello

It is always better to submit IELTS but it is not required for dependants. Certification of English language ability from workplace and school will suffice.

My spouse has a university diploma of English amd German Teacher, she graduated this year. Do you think it is enough to prove her English language ability

In addition to that you need to provide certifications from the college/university she graduated and from the company she's working at.

Salbakuta: Don't forget to include 2 self-addressed mailing labels, aside from those in the documents list.

Tweety05: I've finally sent our application for PR, but it will have to pass through my sponsor, because he'll request for the draft from his bank and include in the envelope. I will advise when he sends the application package to CIO. Thanks.

iceboyz: Like your wife, I too have a certificate in English Language Teaching; my husband is the principal applicant, he took the IELTS, and we only included my certificate in English Teaching in lieu of my IELTS.

AS PER CIC APPLICATION GUIDE... THEY ARE DEMANDING AT LEAST 6 MONTHS VALIDITY DEMAND DRAFT IN CAD DOLLARS FOR APPLICATION FEES........

BUT HERE IN INDIA.....As per RBI guidelines, with effect from April 1, 2012, the validity period of Cheques, Demand Drafts, Pay Orders and Banker's Cheques will be reduced from 6 months to 3 months, from the date of issue of the instrument.....

SO.......PLEASE ADVICE....
ANY ONE FROM INDIA, WHO CLEARED THIS PHASE....

I heard that RBI guidelines are only for local/national instruments.
International DDs still have 6 months validity. Please check again with the issuing bank.
