Hello everyone! As you can see from my timeline, I applied in 2012 and am now in Manitoba (landed in 2014). I am very familiar with the waiting game and I know how you feel. Patience is a virtue!
I just wish to share some resources to those who are nearly at the finish line to make good use of your time:
This website has Manitoban settlement information on many topics like employment, health, education, etc. https://livelearn.ca/ so you can be ready even before you land in Manitoba. (It is open resource, so you can access the articles as freely as you want).
For those who are already Federally Approved Provincial Nominees, if you wish to have a tutor for English, for your career, or for settlement, you can go to https://livelearn.ca/learn/one-on-one-learning/#e-volunteers. You can start learning even while you still in your home country. All sessions are done on Skype, with a schedule that you can arrange with your e-tutor.
All these resources and services are for free. English Online is funded by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to provide these services to new Manitobans. If you are interested, you can also email: mberezyanskaya@myenglishonline.ca or cloza@myenglishonline.ca to know more about English Online.
Good luck! And I hope to see everyone soon in Manitoba!
