The AOR is what people get when their file is at the CIC stage of getting PR. This is when you file for PR with the PNP nomination that you get if you are approved by MPNP.

When you are waiting for your PNP nomination and have applied on line you can check the progress of your application by signing into the account you would have created when you applied.

Here's a link with more information about the stages of that applicaton.

Congrats. But you will not check status by using this number. You have to wait for another mail with EP number (it will be the same like XEP number they only remove X from your current number) & UCI number.Hopefully you will get it soon.
What is your timeline?

When will get UCI numbers those have XEP numbers.

Hi Joe, here are the answers you're seeking..

Next Steps: You'll receive your AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt), Medicals Request, RPRF (Right to Permanent Residence Fee), Request for additional documents (rare but a possible step), Call for Interview (rare but possible), Passport Request, etc

If you've mailed your application package by Express or SpeedPost, then you should be able to track the delivery of your package. This way you will know when CIC has received your package. I am thinking that it would have reached them by now.. You can double check anyway..

Once you receive your AOR after roughly 4 months time, your ECAS (Electronic Client Application System) profile will be activated. You can track your process by checking it every other day.. Remember to have plenty of patience.. These steps takes lot of time. As for further steps, CIC will email you when they need something from you to the email id that you've mentioned in your application..

Wait till you get your AOR, and then you can EDIT your mailing address on ECAS. You can also send an email to CIC about your temporary change in address.

Yes, you can take your medicals in France..

Its upto you. You can either pay it now or later when CIC requests. Application for PR fee is always due when you send an application but Right of PR fee will be due before you get your PR.

Mostly people pay it upfront to save some processing time.

1. It's neither MPNP file number nor passport number.

Client ID, also referred to as a UCI, appears on all documents you get from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). It is an eight-digit number that looks like this: 0000-0000.

If you are applying to CIC for the first time, you will not yet have a client ID. If so, and you are filling out a form that asks for one, write “Not Applicable” or “N/A” in the space provided.

2. If you are sending a bank draft then you should fill out form IMM5620 otherwise it is not required and you just need to send your online payment receipt.

Good luck

Guys can someone please clarify regarding applying through Express Entry (EE) after receiving nomination letter.

Do we need to have a EE profile when we filled our EOI? I don't have a profile so that means i wont have a chance to apply through EE if i get a nomination letter?

Also how do we know of we qualify for express entry sub-stream of MPNP?

I hope you can answer my queries.

Best Regards

Yes you have to submit canadian criminal record check thats from RCMP which includes finger print verification. You can go to an RCMP detachment, local police or commisionaires to do it. It costs around $70 an dis valid for 1 year. It is processed within 3 to 4 business days.

Sunny G,

Did you applied under MPNP?

Hello everyone! As you can see from my timeline, I applied in 2012 and am now in Manitoba (landed in 2014). I am very familiar with the waiting game and I know how you feel. Patience is a virtue! :D I just wish to share some resources to those who are nearly at the finish line to make good use of your time:

This website has Manitoban settlement information on many topics like employment, health, education, etc. https://livelearn.ca/ so you can be ready even before you land in Manitoba. (It is open resource, so you can access the articles as freely as you want).

For those who are already Federally Approved Provincial Nominees, if you wish to have a tutor for English, for your career, or for settlement, you can go to https://livelearn.ca/learn/one-on-one-learning/#e-volunteers. You can start learning even while you still in your home country. All sessions are done on Skype, with a schedule that you can arrange with your e-tutor.

All these resources and services are for free. English Online is funded by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to provide these services to new Manitobans. If you are interested, you can also email: mberezyanskaya@myenglishonline.ca or cloza@myenglishonline.ca to know more about English Online.

Good luck! And I hope to see everyone soon in Manitoba!
