MPNP 2015: Assessment Stages

Today my assessment was completed and I was emailed with a confirmation of nomination and a letter of support to apply for a work permit. I did not have an interview so I guess you don't need one if you are going via skilled worker overseas with a job offer rather than sponsorship.

Just to provide some more detail;

Invitation to apply for EOI: 4th May 2015
LAA: 20th May 2015
Application submitted: 8th June 2015
LOA: 28th Sept 2015

My application was from overseas, I am not in Canada and points were 800+ with job offer.

can anyone please answer below queries for MPNP application documents?
1. Birth Certificates/Marriage Certificate/Certificate of Employment/passport /Bank Certificate and bank statements - Does it need to be attested/notarized?
2. Transcript of Records and Certificate – High School and College if graduated (applicant and spouse)
- My brother completed BSC engineering. Does it need to be attested/notarized? Is WES assesment requied for school,High School and College? or only WES for college is sufficient?
3. IELTS (applicant only)- Does it need to be attested/notarized? does testing center need to send it directly?
4. Worksheet assessment (can be downloaded from website, should be at least 60 points, save file as mpnp-points-surname.pdf)

5. Do we need to submit any HARDCOPY documents for MPNP application?
6. My brother is applying from Bangladesh. Does police certificate needed when applying from overseas?

Hi Papagod, is it faster to get a work permit or directly apply for the PR through express entry? Can you do both at the same time?

I've been sent no information from them about stuff like this. My certificate says it is not valid for express entry. Work permit is faster because I can now just arrive in Canada with paperwork and gain work visa at the border, no need to apply to embassy. PR would take another 6 months or so from cic I guess.

I thought you had to go through the local embassy for the work permit because of medical and security checks. Is your country perhaps exempted from this?

Just saw it now! My status was changed to "Assessment Pending"
I received LAA last June 25 and submitted full application last August 7. Skilled Worker-Overseas.
I did not know when it was exactly changed since I have not check my status online since saturday (18th Oct).
Hoping for smooth process.

I hope everyone will change status soon
