Hi all,
Can someone please give me the right information? I will be moving along with my husband to Canada in September. He has a visit visa and I have my student visa. My questions are as follows:
- should we get his work permit and spousal visa before entering Canada or would it be better to get it done from there?
- since we are planning to move our furniture too. I wonder if there’s a rule that doesn’t allow you to take your furniture if you have no PR. Is that true.
Please help. I have posted before but no one replied. I would be really thankful.

There will be some concerns about your husband if there is any indication that he is moving. He is a visitor so he is only allowed to bring stuff a temporary visitor would bring. If he is planning on moving to Canada yes you should apply for a work permit for him. If he isn’t moving make sure to travel with information about his US lease and job.

Don't know about Student visa but I am taking my furniture on a Work Permit.
Hi!

Which forms did you use for declaring the goods on a work permit?
Can I use form B4 for "goods to follow" on work permit? If yes, do I choose the "settler" option?

Thanks.
