Mothers Name Different in Birth Certificate & passport

My mothers name is different in my birth certificate & my passport. Will it be a problem when applying under CEC category ?

You need an affidavit for this.

Ok..My home country is India & now I am in canada... So from where will the affidavit be issued ? India or Canada ?

When you say different name, what exactly does it mean ? Is it completely different / missing surname / given name?

Mothers name in my birth certificate : Chandrika
Mothers name in my passport : Chandrani Angiras

If your mother is residing in India, get an Affidavit to this effect from India and make sure to submit a covering letter with your application, explaining the name difference.

Yes my mother is residing in india. So I will get affidavit from India.

I am in same situation. My mother’s surname is not included in my passport but her full name is included in my birth certificate. Now I am planning to apply for PR under provincial nominee program. Is that gonna be a problem? Please anyone help?
