Most time consuming or problematic steps?

Newbie here who just applied to WES for credentials evaluation.

From reading the forums, i find the most time consuming/problematic steps to be:

1. ECA (1-2 months)
2. PCC (for US PCC, 2-4 months)
3. Employment reference letters in the desired format.

Could those ahead in the process shed light on what steps I can take ahead of time before getting my ITA, so that I can expedite my process? I was going to focus on US PCC and Employment letters. Any others worth pursuing before EE/ITA/AOR to save time later on?

The 3 points you listed tend to be the most time consuming.

If you want to start other things you can list all your international trips of the past 10 years (or since you were 18 if it's less than 10 years) with country, city, start date and end date. That can take some thinking for those who travel extensively.
You will also be required to list all your past addresses with dates for the past 10 years.
You need to translate documents if not originally in English or French.
You need to have funds for the past 6 months.

Regarding Employment history, I just realized that I can meet the max points from my current employment itself, so getting the desired letter should not be an issue (as I wouldn't need to go back to my previous employers - i can put those in personal history rather than work history, and therefore no letters required for those). Maybe someone can correct me if i am wrong about this.

2. For International trips, is there a need to mention every single trip even if it was for a couple of days, or is there a "length of stay" criteria so that only trips of a certain length are to be listed?

1 - That's fine as long as your eligibility does not get affected under the six selection factors (if FSW applicant).

1. That raises a tricky question @DelPiero07. FSW gives you points for 6 years of work ex, while CRS only for 3 years. Does that mean, I should err on the side of caution and get letters for 6 years of experience so that I can claim max points under FSW?

2. Is the lottery CRS score dependent or FSW score dependent? I understood it was the former (so long as you meet the >67 threshold if applying for FSW...i.e. a higher FSW score doesn't improve your odds in the lottery, only the cutoff matters)

In my opinion claim as much points as you can to be safe

Draws are CRS dependent, fsw points are only for eligibility)

From my current employer I can claim 13 out of 15 max points in FSW (4 - 5 years). Adding that previous employer would add 2 more points to my FSW score, but it won't affect eligibility. So probably not worth the extra effort/possible delay to get that older employment letter. I intend to claim every point possible for my CRS score however.

You need to list every country visited even if it is a short stay (no need to list all cities within the same country during the same visit).
