Just got GU in tracker with the updated showing as October 28. Everything else remains the same and nothing changed. Just wanted to know if you receive GUs in tracker when they send you P2? Still waiting for my P2 though. Any insight is appreciated!

In the case of P2, Photo Uploading.
I selected digital photo.
So there is no need to upload the receipt, right? Because there was only one placeholder and it was for photo.

Guys, I am an inland primary applicant and I got the ready-for visa document today for my spouse (outland secondary applicant). I just have one question:

1. On the last page of the document there is a table on which I have to fill in details (basic info, eye color, and height) and then my spouse have to print whole document and take it to VFS right?

2. Also, if only my spouse is submitting a passport, what should be under the "Applicant" and "Spouse" columns of the table?
  • Applicant -> Me (Primary Applicant) and Spouse -> my spouse (secondary applicant)
  • Applicant -> My spouse (secondary applicant) and Spouse -> Me (Primary Applicant)
Please help thanks.

Hello all,

Just thought I would share my timeline/experience for portal for VO montreal.. common law inland sponsorship

P1: October 9th (returned the same day)
P2: October 29th

I am travelling home for Christmas December 13th and conscious of timelines, these are some methods I employed to try and speed along my application (whether it worked or was just coincidence, who knows):

1. I called twice after P1 and asked for any updates/insights (they actually provided an update that wasn't showing on IRCC secure account and left a note on file for the immigration agent handling my case)
2. I submitted a webform outlining the time sensitive nature (with plane tickets attached) of my travel plans and kindly requesting expedition - this was a recommendation by the IRCC call centre agent
3. I used the 'Kai method' , as mentioned numerous times on this form - emailing the P1 reply to all VOs in case your file has been diverted away from Montreal VO.
4. I followed up with an additional reply to my initial P1 email reply asking for an update and again, outlining my situation and attaching my plane tickets

I probably wouldn't have gone to such lengths were it not for my travel plans, although hoping this info is useful for anyone in a similar scenario
