monthly expences in Toronto?

Hello Friends, senior members,

Could you please let us know about the monthly expences in Toronto (Scarborough).

I'm planning to come to Toronto in Jan 2012.

If two people are sharing an apratment then what will the total cost?(for each person)

like rent,grosery,food,travelling,other(if any)?

Also living off campus and sharing apartment at a decent location can be cheaper then living on campus/homestay/alone. I heard from a friend it costs him $400 as rent on his shared appt.
