Can any one tell me how long we would have once the Decision is Made to move to Canada? The process is all happening faster than I anticipated and I am trying to gauge a timeline for our exit from Ireland. Our Application was received on November 16, 2017. And medical has been passed and the back ground check is in progress. I was thinking like a time line between June and October for our exit. From what I read we might get a decision by April....
hi! im in Ireland, too and we received COPR just a couple of weeks ago. it went by fast for us and we applied in August...plan for 6 months...as mentioned before you are limited to within 12 months of your medical. we leave for Canada in June, out of Shannon. Im the Canadian sponsoring my husband..we are in Clare.

We are planning to visit canada in 2 weeks time and do the soft land8ng and then return to UK after visiting for 10 days! Does anyone know is it at this time I need to take a list of goods we will be taking when we do move? Thanks
did you read this?
you may want to call the CBSA to be sure but if i were you id make the lists just in case.

Just called cic and they confirmed all of our additional docs were attached and waiting to be reviewed. Hopefully not long now!

Anyone know how long the wait is after additional docs are attached?

PP/PPR Turn Around Question:

We received Passport Request on Feb 19 and we FedEx-ed everything off (passport photocopy and return envelope) to Ottawa on March 5. Our packaged was received and signed for on Tuesday March 6.

Now I'm waiting for them to use the return Fed Ex envelope, but so far nothing (which I'm tracking on the FedEx site).

How long did it take for folks to receive the returned documents back after submitting the photos and passport photocopy?

I see a lot of folks have PPR (returned) 4 days after PP - so I would have expected them to send it back this week, but perhaps it varies?

Insights are welcomed.

Ours took a little over 3 weeks from the day we sent them in to the day we received PPR.

I hope ours follows this pattern. Seems like 2-3 weeks for most

We are 20 days from the 12 month mark and our background check has still not started

im in Ireland and had to send ours to the UK so we couldnt use a courier for return..just plain old post and it took about two weeks from the day we mailed it off to when we received COPR. i was prepared to wait 3-4 weeks before contacting them so 4 days isnt much of a wait (: dont lose patience now...its almost over.
congratulations (:

Thanks @betterthanyoko . That helps. I'm not so much losing patience as engaging in your run of the mill doubts of "what if it gets lost, what if I have to resend and it's outside the 30 day window, what if... what if...?

But I'll wait another week before contacting them. That will still give me a window to do another round of photos and copies and send them off before the 30 days are up.

So, as you can see, not anxious at all... ;)
