If possible, I'd suggest that you (anybody here) call them (if you are in canada and can get through), just to kindly ask whats going on and that you haven't heard from them in a while. I did this a few times, and the phone representative was very nice to me and helped me figure out if we were missing anything, or what was going on. "coincidentally", every time I called, things updated in GCKey :P

So, myCIC changed for me last night. It now shows as approved and says there's a message below, but there's no message. ECAS still stuck at "medical results received." My return package doesn't show in the Canada Post system yet, but I'm guessing it'll go in the mail in the next couple of days?

Nearly there! I'll let you know when I get it.
Medical results in the details of decision made no?

Nope. The details just go as far as "received."

To be clear, CIC shows that I passed them. It's just ECAS that's lagging behind.

Look at my timeline.
They more than likely have and they’re just not updating.
I wondered the same thing, but then got BGC in progress. Then two days later got DM.
Yeah I saw! They either do everything at the start and then the BGC takes ages or they take ages with the first part and the BGC is quick (in our eyes they could have started it way before), keeping us on our toes so we have no idea what is going on!
So unpredictable! Our BGC started last week, no DM yet but I'm hoping sooner rather than later..

And you filed it in may? I'm august so they won't start mine for months!

My partner received that pre arrival message in his gckey account today but background check still says in progress and no DM in ecas or PPR. Any idea what this means given that nothing has changed?

June.
Originally May, but it got returned.

Nope, months of waiting and silence is a regular part of this process. It doesn't mean that nothing is happening on their end. They're examining our eligibility. I am August as well. Not expecting anything like a background check to start until we are into 2018.

Yeah I'm fully aware, I'm prepared for it taking the full 12 months so not phasing me, I didn't get an AOR2 on ecas just an email of what office so it's just nice to see something updated if that makes sense

Nobody being processed in Mississauga gets AOR2 on ECAS, the email is all we get.

Yes I know that but just seeing that extra line on ecas makes us feel like something is happening

From what I saw on the forum, soon after you get pre-arrival message you will get PPR. :)

I have “the extra line” from when I was transferred to Ottawa before being sent to Mississauga. Trust me, it makes no difference
