I don’t get why they can’t update this shit. It’s important. They need to get it together
Cause they have thoughsands if not a million of others who are in process as well as a back log.
I get it Dude. Our application was in the dark for about eight months.
They’re working on it if it hasn’t been returned.

Try to remember that whether or not it updated to in progress it doesn't change anything for you...you'd still have the same questions and no answers. This process is frustrating but compared to many other countries they actually do have quite a bit of their shit together.

I know many people who had the whole BGC in progress and then DM the next day or within days. I promise it'll happen!

See we were told early last week that we were at the Mississauga VO but was still says
  1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 31, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence on October 17, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  3. Medical results have been received.
And I don't see it changing, lucky people who got other lines :p

What is your timeline if you don’t mind me asking

So, myCIC changed for me last night. It now shows as approved and says there's a message below, but there's no message. ECAS still stuck at "medical results received." My return package doesn't show in the Canada Post system yet, but I'm guessing it'll go in the mail in the next couple of days?

Nearly there! I'll let you know when I get it.

Before getting AOR number, how to check when I can get the number? should I just wait?

I posted the application via mail to Mississauga office, I can see from Canada Post that they got it on Oct 13.

However, so far, no further information yet.

Thanks

Are you talking about the UCI number? Unless you previously have a UCI number from something before, you need to wait until you get AOR1, which will include your UCI and application number. People typically receive AOR1 4-6 weeks after submitting their application [if not returned], so you just need to wait a bit.

Wow you’re lucky.
Mine took 7 months to get a correspondence.
You seem to only have to wait 2.
Yours seems to be going quick.
Congrats!

Haha to be honest all that stuff happened quickly but now I see this taking months and months. We know there is no consistency. We know it's being processed in Mississauga but that's all we know, who knows what they have started it anything

Look at my timeline.
They more than likely have and they’re just not updating.
I wondered the same thing, but then got BGC in progress. Then two days later got DM.

Yeah I saw! They either do everything at the start and then the BGC takes ages or they take ages with the first part and the BGC is quick (in our eyes they could have started it way before), keeping us on our toes so we have no idea what is going on!
