Hi everyone,

Guess I'm now one of the lucky (or unlucky) ones to have my application sent to Mississauga instead of the expected Sydney VO.

I really was hoping to get COPR by Christmas 2017 however after reading this forum, I now realise it is wishful thinking.

Question - I was hoping to just arrive as a Visitor who I believe are allowed to stay for up to 90 days, whilst I wait for a decision to made. Has anyone else done this? Or would it be easier just to stay in Australia where I currently live until I get approval.
We moved over from New Zealand in June. I am the sponsor and had a job to start. I brought so so much documentation at the border to show proof of my job, bank accounts, and proof of 6 months travel insurance for my husband and son. We had to talk with a few people but it ended up being pretty easy to come in. The boys got a 6 month visitor visa. Just prove that if you are coming here, that you are able to sustain yourself with income and medical cover without needing a job since you cant work on a vistor visa

For those of you in Mississauga who have BG check IP and/or DM: when did your meds request come in relation to those things? Am I correct in assuming that for a lot of Mississauga folks, they are doing the meds request fairly close to the end of the process? I have not received my meds request yet.
Our medical request came within 48 hours of the background check starting. It changed to say they were reviewing our medicals (even though we had not done them) and then request came quickly after that, maybe around Sept 1st.We did the medicals on Sept 22nd. We got DM about 2-3 weeks later

Bit of an update. We hadn't heard anything from them since my wife passed her medical exam. I called today and it looks like they thought that we didn't send the FBI certificate with the Schedule A request but we did. So the guy took a look for me and confirmed that we did in fact submit both. So he told me he was going to send a message to Mississauga to tell them that we did submit it I guess, and then hopefully it will be sent to Ottawa and continue going. Sometimes it definitely pays to just call them and ask them whats up.

Do you know if they send confirmation when the schedule A and PCC are submitted? I never received confirmation after mine were sent in March (Dec 2016 applicant). However, it started saying "in progress" from April onward and shows as "decision made" on ECAS now for me.
Reading your update though has be anxious that there could have been any kind of issue like the one you experienced.

I've tried contacting them through phone but I never have been able to get through to an agent. :(

Does anyone here know if there has ever been a case of someone having medicals approved, sponsorship approved, and showing as "Decision Made" on ECAS for both sponsorship and PR 10 months in, has ever been rejected? I know everyone keeps telling me that it saying "Decision Made" for me at this point means that I'm approved, but I don't want to hope for the best without preparing for the worst at this point.

I'm a total bundle of nerves now since I discovered my DM status!

I received PPR today at 2:00 PM. I sent an email to the Ottawa VO inquiring about PPR because I have had a "Decision Made" in ECAS since September 1, 2017. Two hours after sending the email, I received the PPR via email.

What was the email address that you used? Also, was your case updated to being in Mississauga before you contacted Ottawa today?
Can you also share you timeline please? Congrats though!

We never received confirmation that they received them, but I had called at one point and confirmed with the agent that they had received them. I guess something got messed up and somewhere down the line they didn't realize it was there, so I had to confirm with the agent again today. Definitely frustrating, but they're only human I suppose.

The frustrating thing seems to be that they don't email/phone/etc to ask you where your documents are. Their online system is so finicky and is wrong half the time, you'd think they'd try and follow up sometimes.

For me, I find the best time to try and phone is around 9:30 my time (central), I always seem to get through around then.

Congrats! Were you being processed in Ottawa VO the entire time? Did you get the get the "application will be processed in Mississauga" email?

In general you would not receive a negative decision without receiving an interview request or request for additional information/proof.

Got DM Sept. 28th. No PPR as of yet. I'm trying the whole email experiment to see if it works. Here's hoping it works.

Care to share the email address so we can all harass them about it.

I assume it's on the one on CIC website. still not clear if PPR request was to a CPC-M applicant.

I'm definitely most curious about if they're also a CPC-M applicant or not.
I originally was an Ottawa case that got transferred back to Mississauga so I'm hoping they had the same transfer and can share the email they chose to write to! I'm so happy to see someone in this thread getting accepted regardless! :D
