We moved over from New Zealand in June. I am the sponsor and had a job to start. I brought so so much documentation at the border to show proof of my job, bank accounts, and proof of 6 months travel insurance for my husband and son. We had to talk with a few people but it ended up being pretty easy to come in. The boys got a 6 month visitor visa. Just prove that if you are coming here, that you are able to sustain yourself with income and medical cover without needing a job since you cant work on a vistor visaMy timeline is:

Hi everyone,
Guess I'm now one of the lucky (or unlucky) ones to have my application sent to Mississauga instead of the expected Sydney VO.
I really was hoping to get COPR by Christmas 2017 however after reading this forum, I now realise it is wishful thinking.
Question - I was hoping to just arrive as a Visitor who I believe are allowed to stay for up to 90 days, whilst I wait for a decision to made. Has anyone else done this? Or would it be easier just to stay in Australia where I currently live until I get approval.
