My status just changed to Decision Made yesterday (the update showed up today)!!! Everything is completed except the ceremony! I didn't expect it to be that fast. I am just waiting for a ceremony date, correct? How long does that usually take?

This is my timeline:

Type: Paper application
Location: Mississauga
Physical Presence Days: 1110
Application: family (2 adults & 1 minor)
Application Sent: June 9, 2021
Application Delivered: June 14, 2021
AOR: Sept 15th
In process ECAS: Oct 18th
Background Check Completed: Nov 5th
Citizenship Test Request: Nov 30th
Test Window: Dec 6th - 26th
Test Given on the 21st/22nd of December (2 adults)
Test marked as completed on the 23rd/24th of December
DM: Jan 10th

So fast for you it is impossible to predict :) Mississauga office has long oath queue as they say.

yeah, unfortunately it does :(
I hope mine keeps moving at this speed. It will be sad if the last step takes as long as the rest or even longer.

Good luck everyone!

Hi,

My dad's application status changed to DM on ecas. On the tracker, it shows everything as completed except language skills (in progress), citizenship test (not started) and ceremony (not started). His prohibitions activity status and physical presence both got marked as completed today. He is above 55, so he doesn't need to show proof of language or do a test. Any idea about when we should expect the ceremony to be? He is an early November 2020 applicant.

Hi,

Has your dad heard back with regard to the oath ceremony? Thanks!

bloody hell. i saw december 2020 getting oaths but didnt realize IRCC has started picking 2021 files already. lmao

IRCC is in 2050 while we are stuck in medieval times

Added. How many physical presence days?

Surprisingly Sauga is very very slow for certain applications and faster on others. I think it has to do with certain VOs handling cases, some are just taking it to DM state and some ensure that the whole file is closed. The ones that are taking it to DM state dont worry about whether the Oath invite is being sent or not. I wonder how their performances are measured.

I hv a theory tht every month, they process a certain percentage of applications within the required timeframe and put the remaining files on backburner. And deal with slowly but putting them in a so called 'QUEUE'

Same here, one DM, another still in progress for Physical Presence and Prohibitions. Language is completed at the same time as the other DM. So my guess an officer was reviewing all family files at the same time, but waiting on something else for those steps.
Tests were a few weeks apart as well.
