Any idea what does the local office do and what does the sydney office do

At the Sydney office, officials will review your application and the required documents and citizenship fees to ensure they meet the minimum processing requirements.

As for Local office they will complete the necessary steps for a citizenship officer or citizenship judge to make a decision on your application. If additional information or documents are needed, the CIC office will contact you. They also send out invites for the test.

How long does it usually take to get test invite after file reaches Mississauga office? Anyone? Based on your gcms

As per cic customer service, my file was transferred to Mississauga office on May 28. How long does it take to send test invites after file transfer?
What exactly did you hear? Was it “being transferred to Mississauga “ or “Was transferred to Mississauga “ ? Mine has been “being transferred to Mississauga “ since February... you need to see your GCMS report to find out

3 months ago it was being transferred. Based on today's call, it was already transferred on May 28.

Congrats!
Which Passport Office to apply to get passport ready to pick up in just 2 days?

I received my passport today via canada post. It was really fast, I only submitted on Thursday and was told to expect it by the week of the 21st. I didn’t pay for express but it sure came as that. Submitted passport application at the Mississauga passport office on Burnhamthorpe rd/ Central Parkway.
Good luck.

Does Mississauga office usually send paper invites / email invite?

I'll be working at a different city within Canada for a month. I could come back every week at my own expense, but planning to stretch my stay for the full month.
