IP since November 10, 2017.
No Test Invite yet

There appears to be no discernible pattern to these delays. I do not believe its due to background checks. It might just be down to particular case officers taking their time to go through their caseloads.

What I am wondering is this, if ones application exceeds 12 months, does it get expedited automatically?

I seriously doubt that. If there were a handful of cases then it is possible to expedite. But it looks like a large number of applications @mississauga Office which are way behind the scheduled time frame. Don't think it would be possible to expedite all of them. I wont be surprised if the processing end time for October'17 applicants (Mississauga Office) stretches well into the first quarter of 2019. Very likely scenario (would be happy, if proved wrong)

I am a Milton applicant too but my test centre is Hamilton and waiting for test invite.

It generally takes 30 days from the date you request. And the notes will be as of the date of request, even though it's processed a month later.

I moved to Mississauga 6 months before applying for citizenship. Guess should've delayed the move
