Hi,

I got some pathology tests done last month & had slightly high Triglycerides and lower Vitamin B-12 & D3. I am taking medicines for B12 & D3 & for Triglycerides Doctor just suggested diet control. Now I got ITA & will be taking appointment for next week. I have couple of questions:

1. Will these issues result in negative medical report?
2. How long results takes to reach CIC? I will be submitting application in 1st week of April. Should I delay medical appointment till say around 20th March? So that these issues are corrected to some extent?

This is nothing to worry about at all.

There's a question about ongoing conditions, feel free to mention B12 deficiency but I'm 99% sure the dr will shrug it off and not even include it.

Even if the dr does and gives you a B grade, an officer will completely dismiss this. Theres people applying with Hep B and HIV. This is nothing.

1. Will these issues result in negative medical report?

They are not going to check your lipid profile or Vitamin deficiency. Any disease (transmissible) that affects the public health and safety of Canadians OR becomes a burden on Health benefits of Canadian Government..IS A CONCERN. I am using layman language here, for more and precise details you need to check CIC website.

They are going to ask you questions like :
1. Are you taking any medications for any disease or health condition? (In my case, it was thyroid medication and doctor was fine with it!)
2. Were you ever hospitalized in recent years? (I was hospitalized for diphtheria when I was 5 and I still mentioned it. It didnt affect my medical results.)
3. Were you affected with any disease where plasma or blood transfusion was needed? (I was honest about being sick because of dengue. However, I was never hospitalized and recovered in a week!)

These are some examples of what I was asked. Just keep a track of your blood pressure. If its high, they'll check two more times.
If your BP is high the 3rd time, they'll refer you to Cardiologist for ECG.

2. How long results takes to reach CIC? I will be submitting application in 1st week of April. Should I delay medical appointment till say around 20th March? So that these issues are corrected to some extent?

Once you're done with medical tests, they'll provide you a letter with your photo, passport number, EE profile number printed on it. You need to upload that letter in your MY CIC account while submitting your application. Results are later provided to CIC and results are then shown in your account. It takes 3 days to 1 month time for CIC to update the result in your account.
I hope this clears your doubts!!!
