If a citizenship application is filed for a minor (aged 17 years) whose parents are already Canadian Citizens, turns 18 years before approval of citizenship, would he require to appear for citizenship test?

No test, the age considered for the application is the one at the signature date.

Thanks.
Then even no oath will be required and once citizenship application is approved, the citizenship card will be received in mail? Await your advice.

The oath is required for everyone above 14.
Also, please note that's its no longer a citizenship card but a citizenship certificate that you receive at the end of the journey.

The citizenship application requires two pieces of identification listed below. Can these or comparable identification documents be submitted which have been issued from the place from where the child immigrated. The reason being that the child would turn 18 within 1-2 weeks of landing and hence it may not be possible to get or have health card, hospital / immunization record, school record etc. from Canada. On the other hand, it would be better to apply for citizenship before the child turns 18 years as the three years residency requirements would be waived.

Await advice.

Photocopy of two (2) pieces of personal identification.
Both pieces of identification should show the minor’s name and date of birth, one of which must have a photo on it.
Examples include:
  • school record;
  • health insurance card;
  • a passport page containing their photo and personal details;
  • a hospital or immunization record, may be provided.
