Hi Everyone ,

Does anybody know what is the Minimum income requirement for sponsoring a spouse. In the guide (outside canada guide) it doesnt specify anything about the minimum income. but in the check list its asking if i meet the minimum requirement or not. if am under the minimum, then i have to provide some additional documents.

so what is the minimum income ? Also i just need to provide my Last years notice of assessment ? nothing else like Bank statements if you are above the minimum ?

Thanks for your help

There is no minimum income requirement for sponsoring a spouse. However, you need to show proof of how you will support yourselves without welfare.

no min income required.

It's better you write a letter explaining like how you will take care of yourself and your wife while she is in Canada with you, like foods, apartments, etc... Also don't forget to put some bank account papers and or some money proofs.

well, it's not required but definitely strengthen your case.

I mean why on earth will IRCC grant PR to someone who doesn't have any money and will rely on welfare later.

So, dont take chances put some money proofs.
