My fiancee and I are getting married next year, and we are planning to move to Canada. my question is, do we both need to make an Express Entry profile? or just one of us? does this also apply in MPNP?

You can try as common-law, if you leave together. And the main applicant will be whoever has higher points. Check CIC website for reqs for common-law. Or, just get married first It's easier than sponsorship later on.

yeah, we are actually planning to get married early next year first before we apply.. so only one of us needs an Express entry profile? (im guessing that would be me) so no need for her to make one too? right?

If you apply as common law, then you can have 1 profile. You can be main applicant, and your partner will be your dependant. We also applied as common law. If you dont fulfill reqs for common law (cant prove living together for at least 1 year), then get married, or create separate profiles. I recommend cammon law. In this case you need to prove work experience for main applicant only. Dependants WE is counted in only if he/she worked in Canada. And if your partner's IELTS score is not rocket high, being dependant is not too bad too.

Hi, mykevin! There is one more option, and it totally slipped my mind. That is addind your spouse later, after ITA, or even after you get your PPR. You will need provide spouse docs, like medical, PCC, I guess, but its possible. Check CIC website and forum for details. I don't know if they will recount CRS after adding spouse, check it carefully! Good luck and congratulations on your future marriage!
