MI1 - typical situation - experts need advice

I m a MI1 applicant, current in US on temporary visa.
based on GCMS it seems I may received medicals, PPT anytime soon.

My VISA office is New Delhi, India

1. Incase If I get any PPT request I couldn't send Passports by courier.
[ I'm not in a position to travel to India with the current situation with Job & VISA ]

Can I transfer my application to another visa office Buffalo, USA, How long does it take for transfer ?


During the transfer If thing changes here (may need to travel to India), do I have option to transfer the application from Buffalo, USA to New delhi, India. As everyone know we can not predict the future.

I m okay for the delay for the canada visa but I don't want to miss it.

experts please advise my situation.

I guess you would be able to do the medicals in US and send the passport to NDVO through some friends or relatives who would be travelling to India. Passport cannot be couriered, but send them through friends or relatives. Hope this helps..

Hi canadaprocess,
I am in a similar situation I would have to go to the US in some time for 6 months and I am expecting a Passport request. What did you do?
Can we send it via post? Is it legal?
Since NDVO takes 3-4months to return the passport, coming down to India is not feasible.
